About Me
I am a UX designer with a passion for making the world a better place. I believe that great design considers user needs and provides intuitive, efficient solutions. It can reduce frustration and improve customer satisfaction.
Some have described me as a 'Jack of All Trades”. I think that’s because I’m not afraid to work hard at whatever the task is. And because technology is always changing, I love learning new things. I try to make the answer to whatever is asked of me "yes". If I don't know how right now, then I'm ready to find a way.
My Experience
Technical Support & Customer Service
Millenial Star Network & CultureGrams
I started out in customer service. Helping people resolve software and connectivity issues was a great place to learn about user experience. Guiding someone through a problem and its solution taught me how to navigate pain points and understand their unique perspectives. It’s an invaluable skill I’m grateful to have. These early experiences in customer service laid the foundation for my future endeavors in education and design.
French Teacher
Carden Memorial
My first college degree was in French. I love the culture and art of the French people and a degree in literature was a study of reading and writing. I then spent a year teaching French to young people, grades 2 through 8. It was challenging to simplify my advanced language knowledge for the children. It taught me how to rephrase ideas and explain complex concepts. These are skills I use everyday as a UX designer.
Back to School
Web Design & Development
After some years at home with my kids, I returned to school and earned a degree in Web Development and Design. I loved learning HTML and CSS; it was exciting to translate code into great design. I worked as a tutor and teaching assistant for most of my time at the university, helping other students create websites.
UX Design
Rite Aid
Following my studies I obtained an internship with Rite Aid. There, I put my skills to use by redesigning their online checkout experience, which resulted in higher conversion rates. That was followed by two years of contract work with the company. I worked on almost all aspects of the website, including accounts, e-commerce and loyalty. In 2023 I was hired full time and for the last two years have been focused on the loyalty program, Rite Aid Rewards.

At Rite Aid I honed my skills in wireframing and prototyping. I spent valuable time conducting user tests and user research. I collaborated closely with product managers and development teams to rethink the site's information architecture and create a more user-centered design. I worked alongside other very talented designers and I’m grateful to have learned so much from them.
Fun Stuff
I was born and raised in northern Utah at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. I love living here with my family and our cats. In my free time, I enjoy doing family history, watching murder mysteries and gardening.
I am now looking forward to my next opportunity. As technology advances, there is still so much to learn and do. I think it’s exciting to think about what is around the corner. I invite you to explore my portfolio and contact me to discuss how my skills and experience can benefit your team.
