Icon Set
The purpose of this project was to create a set of original icons that all communicated a central idea. The icons needed to be easily recognizable and be coordinated with color and style. A total of four icons needed to be grouped together so that they all could stand-alone or as a group. I chose to create four icons for Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. Originally I chose to include a bear but after getting feedback from my classmates, I found that most were unfamiliar enough with the ballet to understand its connection. I chose instead to include a pine tree that ultimately was more recognizable to a greater audience
