BrickLink Order Page
This project was focused on improving User Experience for software and website users. The final student project was semester-long where students analyzed a user interface of our choice. I chose a website called "BrickLink" which sells new and used LEGO from around the world.
The first step was to analyze the existing website and identify problems.
The second step was to identify possible personas and create a scenario for testing the website. This helped create the criteria and priorities for the study.
Using the data from the preliminary analysis I created low-fidelity design iterations to test the flow and experience of different checkout ending with high-fidelity sketches with Adobe Illustrator.
Taking the sketches I created a prototype according the results of the design iterations with a focus on the analysis that we'd already completed. This was by far the most time-consuming of the steps but a necessary one to complete the study.
During the usability study, students evaluated peer projects with live interviews and test subjects. This helped students identify specific recommendations for improvement in the usability of their designs. We created a PLAN for one student and CONDUCTED the plan for another student.
Using the recommendations from the Usability Study, I updated the BrickLink website I created and reformatted the usability study for the final project.
