Testing Pop Ups
This was a seemling small project to add a simple popup asking for sms and email opt-in confirmation.  The worry was that it would be either overlooked or add too much friction for customers. Implementing best practices for interstitial screens and testing thoroughly created an interaction that was successful.
User testing helped define the timing to show the pop-ups since they can be intrusive. Shown at the correct time, they could be a very useful tool to capture customer data. Iterating the user tests to hone the UI helped create a pop up that actually worked. Opt-ins to the rewards program increased dramatically.
Adding in the results from the research and testing to pass on the information to dev teams in Figma with notes, flow examples and prototypes.
